Default Swapping to LS6 intake

Ok, finally got my LS6 intake , will be installin it soon. My car is a '00 so I have the EGR. Is there any alternatives besides LS1 edit to clear the SES light I will get after removing it? Also what do I do with the wire harness? I would preferrably not have it just rolled up and tucked somewhere in the back of the engine bay. Anyway to disconnect it and remove it totally safely? Any other things I might think about before I start the install ? Got the coolant line and the plugs. Got the beer and the munchies. Any tricks and guides will help just finished reading JimX's install guide. I think I'm goin to remove the AIR pipes too. Anyone got some cheap block off plates for sale?

I've never done this mod before, but I've read several posts where people have broken the oil sending unit (?) on the back of the intake while performing this mod. So just be careful that you don't brake the oil sending unit, or have a spare on hand.

Good luck,

Jim

Yes, be careful about the oil press sensor. I always remove it first, after I broke my first one. You need some sort of tuner (LS1-Edit or HPtuners) to remove the SES code. The plug will dangle there, unless you remove all the wire loom and pull out all the wires back to the PCM.

yep, broke mine the first time too, they accually sell a convenient tool for removing it, just go to your parts store and grab the gm oil sender socket, the oil sender is pretty fragile, and its another $20 that you have to spend if you break it
