5.3l worth it???
5.3l worth it??? I came across a 5.3l for sale. It's missing the intake, exhaust manifolds, and accessory drive, no wire harness comes with it.
Guy is firm at $350.

Unless it's under 75k miles and you have a way to confirm that or it has the 799 or 243 heads, absolutely not. This is assuming it has coil packs and most sensors. If it's a long block only basically, then I would still pass unless you have intentions for it and need it.
What would be a good price for a complete 5.3?
I had the chance to get a complete one with harness, had about 150k
For 450$
My plan for the motor is to swap it in to my 97lt1.
I was going to get a ls6 or better smog legal intake, smog legal headers, and do a supercharger, probably do a small cam swap as well.
And before putting it in rebuild the bottom end with fresh bearings n such.
