A/C compressor rebuild kit?
#2
if your still looking for your answer, yes there is a seal kit. it cost around $18 at a local ac shop here where i live, i saw one on ebay for $15 with free shipping if you search for a "v7 compressor seal kit" it will pop up and there is also a video on youtube of this compressor rebuild. you need special tools but advance auto and auto zone have the tools to loan out.
here is the youtube video:
here is the ebay link to the parts: http://www.ebay.com/itm/V7-AC-Compressor-Gasket-O-ring-Seal-Kit-Set-A-C-O-Ring-GM-V-7-/170913317351?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27cb3a41e7&vxp=mtr
if you have already fixed your comprssor then i guess this will be valueable info for someone else

Thanks for the info. I just came from the shop and they want $800 for compressor, condenser, accumulator, dryer, manifold and seals. If not they won't warranty the job or parts. I told them to kiss my @ss.
I'll tackle this out and see how it turns out. As far as the 134 freeon, can I use a can or does it have to go to the shop for vaccum?

you can "rent" the vacuum from autozone for free. Don't waste your time trying to rebuild the OEM compressor, just buy a new one.
