My LQ9 Ok folks, i have an LQ9 at the house right now that i am looking at upgrading when i get back. I dont want to go to crazy with it because im leaning toward the pro-touring daily driver as a long term picture here. My car currently is sitty with 27x10 tires in the back 3.90 gears a TCI streetfighter TH350 with a JW bell bolted up to the LQ9. I have to pull the engine back out and figure ill upgrade the cam while im at it. I am thinking about just putting a LS6 cam in it and upgrading the springs on the 317's i currently have and putting some LS7 lifters and trays. I am looking at a turbo in the long run as well which is why i wont be uprgrading to the 243 cast of heads. The engine is really clean as it sits right now so im thinking the simple upgrades will give me a great power upgrade to the stock LQ9. Also i have the stock truck intake that i am thinking about re-using and just smoothing it out and making it more appealing to the eye. Eventually i want to upgrade to a T56 trans and put coilovers all the way around. Anyways, im open to opinions on this. Does it seem like a good direction i am heading in. Thanks

i think so considering what your ultimate goal is of going turbo.
only thing i would recommend doing different is a bigger turbo cam. the ligenfleter gt2-3 is a good grind or some similar. i say if you know what you want like you seem to know, might as well get you best cam for setup now, pay for a cam and install "ONCE". whatever nicer turbo cam you get will still work nicely while you get turbo.
