LS1-LQ9 differences?

LS1-LQ9 differences? Hi guys, I'm from Australia and looking at purchasing a new LS1 style LQ9 408ci long motor.
basically what I have been told is that although I am buying an LQ9, which is different to an LS1, it will be an LS1 style block, meaning the knock sensor positions in the valley and all other sensors etc will be in the same place as my original LS1.
Also wanting to know if I am able to put LS3 heads on the LQ9, as I am looking at twin turbo options, and want to know they will accomodate me in the need for boost and performance?
I am a little unsure of the differences her and would appreciate some help, as I have been told I will basically be able to bolt everything straight back onto the motor and theoretically run it like it should be run, apart from the tune.

LQ9 is the hi output 6.0 iron block version of the LS1 used in trucks/SUVs. It has 317 heads and runs the same cam as the LS1, 350hp, 380ft/lbs.
Pretty much anything on the LS1 will bolt up to it. There is one alternator bracket bolt hole missing that can be drilled/tapped.
The 6.0 can take the L92 heads, the LS1 cant.

Thanks mate. I'm hoping to order from TSP this week, and hoping to have it all together in a couple of months. Then try getting it tuned. Nearest tuner is about 1500k's from me here which sucks.

you can get new ls3 stock heads from SDPC ,for $650.for boosted get the best flowing heads you can afford.get a custom cam from Patrick-G on this forum .go to the boosted section on this forum for more and better input .
