So are the filter that you buy at Autozone coming with the new tray now?

All the newer air hogs should come with the tray. I got mine about a month ago from Wal Mart and it had it. Just open the box and make sure that it is in there.

No fitment problems with mine, good tight fit with my MTI lid.

Tests have shown the K&N to produce over 11rwhp MORE than the Air Hog, just an FYI.

Please not the generous use of winks and smilies ...if one filter could actually make 11hp over another one that would also imply that just a filter by itself might actually give 25hp total! But we know this to be totally impossible.
Yes, thoroughly joking.

How much are the Air Hog filters? If they are not much more than the paper ones it might be worth it.

Fram sent me a new tray as I bought mine before the trays were included. It still doesn't fit. Actually fits better without the new tray.

you gotta use a tray or else the filters sits loose and could let air/dirt go by it, just go push up on your air filter from beneath the lid and you will see.

That aside I am glad I saw this thread cause I had squished my fram in there, I just figured they messed up and no way to fix it, Went to wal-mart returned for one with tray and it fits great. Thanks for the thread

Yes, you do have to use a tray but I used my factory tray. The Fram tray would not fit.
