Gains from Magnaflow

Gains from Magnaflow I have a 98 trans am with mac headers, off road Y, and a Flowmaster catback.
Also have a cutout but I'm doing away with it. Anyways, just wandering how much of a 1/4 mile improvement I will see over the flowmaster. I've been hearing good things about magnaflow on our cars. My best e.t. with the flowmaster, and the cutout closed is a 12.80 @ 105. Thanks

I agree with PlainwhiteZ28, I don't think your going to see a real gain at the track against a cutout, I have been running the Magnaflow from the first day I bought the car and I wouldn't put anything else on. I have seen them all and heard them all, the Mangnaflow is hard to beat for performance and sound.
I've dyno'd a few cars that switched to Magnaflow's.All of them lost hp/tq across the rev range compared to the loudmouths.The Magnaflow is a nice quiet sounding exhaust,but for all out performance I would add a cutout.
Also these cars were H/C setup's,so a bigger loss is seen.As much as 20hp/10tq was lost.From what I've seen,quieter the exhaust the less hp you make.

That's weird because a guy here in MD only gained about 2 hp from an open cutout on his Magnaflow exhaust.
