Default Need Headers To Compliment My Build

Fellas,

I am trying to determine what route to take regarding headers for my engine upgrade. More specifically, I am trying to figure out if I should run 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" stepped, or plain old 1 7/8" headers.

The headers will be run through off road Y to a 3" merge stepped up to 3.5". From there, I will be attaching a cutout on the 3.5" pipe then reduce back down to a 3" system to exit out the back (Random Tech catback)

The list of components are as follows.

Tick As Cast 225CC heads w/60CC chambers
Tick SNS Stage 2 cam
Vengance Ported Fast 92
Nick Williams 92 TB

Advice would be most appreciated!

Plain old 1 7/8 gets my vote... KOOK's if you can afford them.

From the folks I have spoken with on the phone, most say plain old 1 7/8" also. I am wondering if using a stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 would give me the best of both worlds when it comes to low end and top end.

Thanks,

IMO, I'd go with 1-7/8" headers. I'd also go with a 3.5" or 4" exit on the y-pipe merger; it'll flow better.

Copy that 99Blluz...

I definitely plan on stepping up to 3.5" or 4" pipe after the y-pipe merger and running a electric cutout right behind that. I will have to step back down to 3" to run through the remaining 3" system.

Thanks!
