Rusty harmonic balancer?
Rusty harmonic balancer? I'm putting my gto back together after a head/cam install and my balancer is pretty rusty. Is this common and should I replace it or somehow clean it or just reinstall it? Id like to keep it cheap so either installing it or somehow cleaning it would be ideal. Any opinions?

When I was installing my idler and tension pulleys couple weeks ago I took a electric wire brush and a dremel with the wire brush attachment and just cleaned it up. I also had to install new belts so while under the hawk I just cleaned it up. Then I sprayed this rust neutralizer that Lowe's sold over it.
