Need advice on what to do next!!!!!!
First the LS6 manifold is going to need to have the ribs shaved of the bottom or the use ls6 coolant tubes to get the proper clearance on the bottom side of the intake.
Cam swap parts:
New oil pump, timing chain, lifters, cam, pushords, headgaskets, pushrods, trunnion rocker upgrade, lifter trays, front timing cover gasket, new balancer bolt.
There is more to I could add to that list but that is just a large blanket of most of the parts needed for a cam swap, now lifters are not always needed but I always put them in just for piece of mind.
But before you even consider doing a cam swap if you don't have a converter in the car get one, minimum 3600 stall, anything lower and you wish you went bigger. Yank, Vigilante, Circle D, PTC are all great brands. You will need a auxiliary trans cooler to go with the converter or you will cook you transmission fluid and the trans.
There is allot more involved in doing a cam swap than most people think, and I didn't even start talking about tuning yet, my suggestion would be to read https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-o...anna-fast.html and read up before buying any parts, make sure you feel comfortable doing the work. If not make sure you have a hefty chunk of change to pay a reputable shop to do the work.
