1993 lt1 popping from tailpipe

1993 lt1 popping from tailpipe I have a 93 vette. just bought it. ran great for the first few weeks so some of the mods and previous work I might now know to well. I have 100k miles roughly. its running not to bad at times. starts up real easy. idles really well.
step on the gas it sounds like it may be missing just a tad. but not bad.
when I start driving it will pop and might back fire slightly.
it has updated coil that I can see. its rather sluggish now as well. but anything above 2500 rpm it runs great. if I step on the gas hard she runs great. its the 1000 to 2500 rpm it pops at.
my guess is its a optispark from some materials ive read.
I found a hose coming from the opti spark that was cracked. is this already an aftermarker opti? looks vented.
just want a few ideas. I will of course change plug and wires this weekend. reading lots of opti horror stories.\\

9 times out of 10 if you have an ignition issue with an lt1, its the opti.. as far as popping a little bit and backfiring, every lt1 car i owned would backfire when i let off the gas after WOT.. and the all would make a popping sound when on decel(stick cars)
