Try and locate a small two jaw puller (like a battery terminal puller). You may need to cut the handle some to avoid hitting the hood on the driverside. This was a major bitch to get off. If your using your hands forget it. I cranked the two jaw puller tight as hell and it wasnt budging. I think loosening and tightening it (then pull on it a little bit) will do the trick. Mine finally popped off after a day or two of intermittant attempts.
