Default Advice on some LT'S

Ok guys, I have a 2001 WS6 M6 with SLP's LM and only have a budget of about 500 bucks. I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions. Thanks.

pacesetter and flowtech are your options that will get you the headers with Y pipe

I would get some pacesetters, and then have an exhaust shop fab a y-pipe for you. FWIW, its gonna be pretty loud with no cats and a LM

Default LT's for the WS6

I think Pacesetter kicks ***, not just saying that becuase i have them on ym car, but they sound great and give plenty of power.but if you wanna go the expensive route.........cant do better than some Hooker LT's w/ their off road y pipe.

I would go with the Pacesetters over Flowtechs any day. I have installed both. While Pacesetter has had trouble w/their ORY, the header is quality. Flowtechs have thinner flanges, and I personally don't like 3-bolt flanged collectors (that last part is just my opinion, though). I feel they sacrifice ground and floorboard clearance.

If it were me, I would save up for stainless. By the time you get a good mild steel header and all of the associated parts like gaskets, clamps and a GOOD Y-Pipe, you would have spent $800-$1000. Been there and done that. Before you buying anything, add up the total list of parts and go from there. Something else that is a factor is fitment. If you have to cut/bang/pry to get the headers/y-pipe to fit, that is big clue. You pay for prefection and how much perfection do you want?

not all people can afford perfection..or the world would be a perfect place
all headers have fitment issues, some time or another..it' hit or miss most of the time. btw..i have a total of 600 into my header set up..it includes headers y-pipe, and cats welded in...and not all people need stainless headers...most of the time you will either sell or wreck your car before the headers will ever rust through anyway...its personal preference if ya ask me..and also depends on how deep your pocket is...
