FlowTech headers any good
FlowTech headers any good Hey guys I was wondering if any has used FlowTech headers on there car. I can get them off TR for 350 bucks coated. I dont have alot of cash at the moment and I am doing a head swap so might as well get the headers done while im at it. Also will these hook up to the factory exhaust system until I can get the exhaust upgraded. Any help here would be good.

No long tube headers bolt up to the factory y-pipe. You would need to buy the flowtech y to go between your headers and catback. My advice would be to wait until you can afford the headers/y-pipe you really want. For now, buy a used SLP y-pipe on ebay - they're cheap, sounds and flows better than the stock flattened y, and you won't lose too much $$ reselling it when you upgrade to long tubes. That's what I'm doing until I can save up for either coated Hookers, or maybe even stainless Kooks or QTPs. Although some have had luck w/ the cheaper headers out there, most would agree that you get what you pay for. Good Luck.

When buying long tubes what you are paying for is fitment, quality, fit and finish. All LT's dyno within the same net gain. Swap from one brand to another for the sole purpose of gains and you'll be disappointed.
