which spark plugs to run?

which spark plugs to run? I have a 98 trans am and it has 79,000 miles on it and still has the factory plugs and wires on it. Is there any kind of plug that works better than factory on our ls1's? I do have headers, no cats,airlid, magnaflow if that makes any difference. Be nice if I could pick up a little more in the 1/4 with them also. Thanks.
any plug change at this point will improve your times....

I change mine evey 10000 miles....sometimes more often If I go to the track a lot...
NGK TR55's gapped to .050
and I'm now...heads/cam - headers - exhaust - lid - intake - ported maf/tb - harland sharp rockers - dyno tune for the new heads coming next monday.......

Most people run NGK TR55 Coper plugs for best performance. I use the NGK TR55 IX irridium plugs with MSD wires. With 79K on the plugs you will probably pick up a couple hp with new ones.
