Default fast 92

OK got my fast 92 and I was going over the instructions it says the intake Is loosely attached with 14 bolts..then to reassemble using only 6? Then on the other part of instructions it says remove temporary bolt spaces these instructions are a bit confusing is there a write for this somewhere...thanks in advanced

What exactly are you trying to do? You don't need to disassemble the shells unless you are trying to modify the intake, just bolt it in and torque it right to the heads.

Yea that's all in trying to do is bolt it up

did you buy the intake new or used ?make sure to use the proper bolts on the valley cover pan before you try to mount the intake to the engine .some people recommend using stock GM intake bolts instead of the supplied fast stainless steel bolts .don't over tighten them.make the rubber seal gaskets for the intake runners are seated .use some drops of super glue if needed to hold them in place .

I got it new I got the valley cover button bolts OK thanks for heads up with intake bolts as well

They keep it loosely assembled like that to keep the gasket in place that is between the shells. You are "supposed" to take it apart and make sure the gasket is still in place, which I assume most if not all are. But the six bolts they are talking about are the short ones on the front and back of the intake that help hold it together. If you don't want to take it apart just take the nuts off the longer bolts and drop it in.
