Installing non-EGR LS6 intake.

What has to be done to install a non-EGR LS6 intake onto an EGR LS1 (2000 WS6)? Any tips for this install? Thanks.

Either

(1) Remove EGR

(2) Convert your ls6 intake to accept EGR

I'd go (1) I read it's easy.

What do I have to do to remove EGR off the car, just a block off? I'd prefer that route since it cleans things up under the hood a bit also.

You can order a kit with block off plates for the EGR ans AIR systems from some of our sponsors. Or you can fab up a block off plate out of sheet metal.
If you remove the EGR system, you will get an SES light. It can be removed by reprogramming the PCM. Most people have it disabled when they get custom PCM tuning. It won't affect performance.

when i took off the egr i just cut the hoses off and welded nuts into the holes therefore i didnt have to make block off plates, and they are nice and thick....just a thought if youve got access to a welder...
