Default Car will not start **PLEASE READ**

Hey guys,

I have been getting a code for my O2 sensor for a few weeks now, until last Thursday when I threw all of these codes and could feel a misfire by the way the engine was running;

P0151
P0151 P
P0307
P0307 P
P0200 P

I tested the resistance of plug wires, and injectors, they are all consistent.

I decided to bring the car to my mechanic because I was too cold to go any further. I finally got a call today and my mechanic told me that the car will not run for him at all (I drove it there so this is a new issue) he told me that the motor spun over freely but would not fire, he tried hooking up to the computer and found no injector pulse and no spark at all. He says the car will start sometimes but dies almost instantly. He tried to change the crank position sensor and that made no difference, I told him to take a look at the cam position sensor but he said it was also working.

If anyone has any input I would appreciate it, he thinks it may be security related (I have had some issues with security light coming on in the past but there is no light now and it is allowing the motor to turn over)

If it is a VATS issue I don't think it will even crank. The security light will come on and off for a few drives, then it will eventually shut your entire 'starting' ability down. When you turn the key, everything seems normal but no starter!!! Is a bad bad feeling being stuck somewhere. No matter what happens with this problem, make sure you do the resistor bypass of that circuit, it may save your life being stuck in a bad situation.

the problem sounds like you aren't getting any fuel, engine is turning over and not running. Your mechanic may have a gauge to see if he gets a reading on the fuel rail. I placed a permanent $20 ebay gauge on my driver's side fuel rail fitting for troubleshooting such things. I can turn key and immediately see if fuel pump is working.

Also you can check the ignition relay. When they go bad it will crank but not start. How old is the battery?

This!!!!!!!! Has bitten me, the fuse block had a loose contact and the IGN relay had shorted. New relay and no problems, you can try re-seating the relay and or swapping them around...If that is not it, check and make sure all grounds are there and secure.

Hey guys thanks for the suggestions, I passed it on to my mechanic and he told me he had already checked that a few times, he thinks it may be the PCM, he's still playing with it.

So I just wanted to update anyone that was following this, my PCM was the culprit, my mechanic sent it to a company that rebuilds them and it was deemed "non repairable" so they sent us a rebuilt unit for the same price as the rebuild on mine (lifetime warranty as well) but the unfortunate thing with that was that I needed to get it re flashed for my car so my mechanic had to have it towed to another shop for that. The good: car has absolutely no issues now, and they even tuned it for the mods I have (full bolt ons) which is pretty cool. The bad: $1,000 out of pocket all said and done.
