First you have to know what a PCV is (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) It take and vents the Oil vapors that build up in your crank case and sends the oil vapors to your intake to be burnt off. NOT Good.
A catch can is a metal can that installs after the PCV Valve and catches the oil vapors/oil that would normally be sucked into your engine to be burnt off.
I reccommend an AMW catch can. I installed one on my car and it is a wonderful piece of equipment. Installation is easy as well Plus they're a sponsor here.
