UDP belt length difference?
UDP belt length difference? Hey guys, I need to figure out the difference in belt length between the stock lower pulley and a PowerBond 25% UDP. I have a front drive that's a little different (AC pulley location) so I need to know how much shorter the belt length gets with the 25% under size. Thanks!
Yea, I can do that. Its just a pain to do that way, because the tensioner has to be preloaded . Im just hoping someone thought to measure theirs for some unknown reason, LOL.
Mine is set up differently than the standard vette setup. Im using the vintage air Kwik bracket setup for the AC. All my junk runs off of one belt. I will cross reference your part # for the main belt and compare it to the main vette belt length. That should get me where I need to be. Thanks!
4" shorter is the answer for my particular app. Mine is a different setup than standard, like I said in an earlier post, but after cross referencing the belt that comes with the UDP against the standard belt length, it is 4" shorter. My old belt length was 100.625", so I need a 96.625, that is the length for several Ford 4 cyl from the mid 90s, so it should be easy enough to come by. Thanks for the input ,guys, and hopefully the next guy can find this thread and not have to do the math and research. I hate math and research, LOL.
