That honestly appears to be the correct angle. I should take an angle finder to my rack so I can throw out some quantitative analysis for this situation.

I just find it very difficult to fathom that Kooks headers would have any sort of fitment issues. My PaceSetters slide right and have a ton of room between the primary and shaft. My friend who had the LT1 rack also has a ton of room after switching out the incorrect rack.

Here's another good picture of the different racks (LT1 top; LS1 bottom):

The next step may be replacing the engine mounts to see if it raises the engine high enough. One would be surprised how compressed they get over the years/miles.

Well the mounts are going in with the new motor, didn't see the need to put them on this motor, just seemed more trouble that it was worth considering the 2" kooks headers I have are D-port cause that ones an ls7. I just picked up these cheap 1 3/4 used ones so that I could install the true duals now to make the swap easier... And thanks for not making dumb assumptions like that other a-hole... This forum is for people to share experiences and help each other out. Being condescending and talking **** doesn't help anyone

I'll try and file the column mount as much as I can and see what I can get and then when I get the new mounts in hopefully that will be enough
