I tried to install my lo-ram intake today, but one of the ports did not line up. From what I read on this thread, I should send it back but that will risk getting a worse aligned one. I don’t think is too terrible, so I would appreciate some input

That's not terrible IMO. If you could get a marker in there and color that edge you could easily remove that area so it's straight in.

It never even glazed over my brain to check port alignment when I put my BTR Trinity intake on

I ended up calling Holley and the rep didn’t really say much about besides the option or replacing it. I ended up returning it and purchasing the ultra lo-ram to clear the hood, I didn’t want to modify it.

I got the Ultra Lo-Ram intake after returning the Lo-Ram intake due to port alignment issues. Unfortunately, the new intake has the same issue—though it's not as bad as some of the pictures I’ve seen here.

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to cars, so I'm not sure how serious this offset might be down the line. Any suggestions or advice on how to handle this? Should I keep returning the intakes until I get one that aligns properly? I’d really prefer not to modify my heads just to make it work.

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the usage of the car. For a street car it won't be an issue. For a max effort drag car you'd probably want to pull the heads and port match the intake runner to the intake.

The goal for this build is for street and drifting. Is making changes to the heads common? Will matching my heads to this intake lock me in to only this intake? Thanks in advance!

In general the cathedral manifold port sizes are close to the same. That isn't much material to remove from the head.

Youre not gonna come anywhere close to maxing out the flow on that intake with an LM7 bottom end just leave it it will be fine
