TSP Headers and ??? Y pipe, with cheap cats

TSP Headers and ??? Y pipe, with cheap cats I've been wanting to get the TSP 1 7/8" headers for my 02 SS. I want to keep the stock catback and add a cutout. I would also like to keep cats for some reason.
Just wondering how I can do this on the cheap, so eBay cats and I don't know what y pipe I could use to get them to hook up.
Think I wanna keep the cats but am open for an off road y but never been in a car without cats so don't know how/if it smells or if I'd have problems with inspections. I live in Mass.
Can anyone help me out here?
