PCV harness
New to LS here......did an intro post, guess nobody really goes there?.......die-hard Chevy muscle maniac.
Grew up in the years when F-body was born.....
Anyway, couple questions.
2001 Transam LS1/4L60E Full take out, and heard it run in the car, yard driver, 120K miles.
The pcv harness is broken/split right at the back where the "Y" connector is.
gooey rubber piece.
Can you buy just that Y only or is it a Dealer / Junkyard / entire ***'y item?
Question #2:
Harness is full uncut with a 12200411 PCM
I got a standalone harness for my Jeep 5.0 TPI from affordable EFI but they don't seem to show any LS stuff on their site?
Is there a "reputable" vendor here that does a harness re-work and PCM programming or can we discuss that without a ruckuss?
Don't know...I"m new......???

Welcome to LS1tech!
The LS1 PCV hoses usually break at that location.
The best PCV repair you can do is the LS6 conversion. It's all here:

Old thread here.....and don't hang out here much because the last Camaro I had was a '72 Z28.....but anyway it's a good site for LS1 info....thanks!
I did the LS6 valley cover upgrade.........
but where do you vent air into the crankcase...or is it necessary?

It's the hose going from the top of the throttle body to the passenger side valve cover. Fresh (filtered) air goes into the valve cover and purges blowby gasses out of the engine through the valley cover and into the intake manifold via vacuum to be re-burned.

I went back and looked at the write-up...the answer was there...I had just forgotten where it was....thanks...!

OK one last question on PCV......
Looking at that write-up on ls1howto.com....it shows installing the PCV valve back into
the little short curved hose going to the intake.
Is this necessary?
I have the GM factory hose that connects from the valley cover directly to the intake. Just wondering if I need to put the original PCV valve in there?
thanks again for all the help...!

You don't need the PCV valve if you have the newer style LS6 valley cover. Try blowing into the hose that goes to the front of the valley cover and if you feel a restriction to flow, you have the newer cover that has a metered orifice built into it. If you feel like there's no restriction, then you need to install a PCV valve. It's likely you have the newer style if you bought it new.
