Quietest muffler?
I have an 04 CTS-V with Kook LT's, high flow cats, and Kook mufflers.
I guess I'm getting old but my ears ache after a long drive on the highway.
I ordered some Magnaflow XL 3" in/out mufflers but want to get some more opinions before I pay to have them welded on.
I've read about the dynamax superturbos but I'm worried that the low flow will affect my HP/TQ.
Any opinions on what I should go with?
Thanks
My current mufflers are about 19/20" long and if I go any longer I'll need to basically rebuild the exhaust from in front of the axle.
Take a look at the Dynomax Ultra-Flo, welded mufflers. they have really good flow and a mellow tone.
Not sure the exact inlet/outlet configuration you need, but one of the models will work for you.

Are the xl's that quiet? When looking through the muffler I can see daylight on the other side and worry that they won't quiet it down enough for me.

I'm pretty much the biggest crybaby when it comes to drone...

BTW I also have experience with Magnaflows and I like them, but they are louder Imo.
Gord.
Others were: Magnaflo and Dynomax Ultraflo(not the little round ones).
Dead silent at idle.
You may not want it this quite at idle. Many people like it to rumble at the stop light. Everyone has a different objective.
I will say these mufflers have zero drone!
