Default exhaust question

Ok so ive had my SS for just over a year now and i wanna make it sound a little louder and maybe get a few more horses out of it

I have the SLP CME exhuast, from what i understand its a pretty desirable exhaust to have and i love the look of the cme. I've also heard that its a better flowing exhaust compared to the "stock" gm exhaust. i guess its comparable to having a cat back exhaust already.
Would it be a waste to get the BBK LT headers or does my exhaust flow well enough to take advantage of it? or should i get a new catback 1st and just reuse the cme tips from this exhaust

i dont have any lofty horsepower goals maybe 350/375 rwhp id like to get a cam and maybe new heads at the end of the summer.

Any input would be appreciated

If doing heads and cam soon, you'll want a full long tube exhaust to create the best flow possible

Which exact SLP muffler comes with that catback? I switched from a SLP LM 1 to a Magnaflow bullet style muffler and it sounds much better IMO, but that's because the LM 1 is basically just a resonator and not a muffler

As long as it's 3" tubing you should be fine really.

If you have a CME then you should have the SLP Dual/Dual catback which is a fantastic exhaust. Just because it's OEM doesn't mean it's junk, it's actually on par with aftermarket catbacks.

Go ahead and get a nice set of long tubes and Y-pipe, keep the stock catback and put a 3" electric cutout in it so you can be loud or quiet with the push of a button.

I believe it should be the SLP dual/dual optioned catback which IMO is one of the best sounding catbacks period. Adding headers with ORY will only enhance the exhaust note and definitely up the volume some. If it was my car... keep the catback and find a good header to complement it.

Sometimes they do... sometimes they don't. If not, you can always drive to the exhaust shop with open Y-pipe.
