What gen motor? If you are on a budget you could just polish the factory piece to a nice shine. It is made of soft material and basically flat so it wouldn't even take that long. Instead of buying something fancy I would invest in a polishing wheel for a bench grinder or a grinder with a polishing wheel already on it..maybe $50 at Harbor Freight and 10 mins of polishing? I think you just figured out my Saturday evening reason to have a few beers in the garage for me- since I am too lazy to pull that past 4 bolts and yank the old motor tonight.
Or am I missing some peripheral benefit of the typical aftermarket pieces?

Gotcha. So you are looking to eliminate the knock sensor holes or is there some other need I am not thinking of? I'd just leave the sensors and the plugs in there and save the $$ otherwise.
