Default LS1 Solid Motor Mount !!HELP!!

Well I was in the process of installing my LS into My camaro today but Notice the holes are not lining up? I also have a crack in my k member I think it may be bent.. Anyone???? I've been fighting but nada. There is a good gap on the driverside pedestal (pics) But passenger side is perfect??

I have the same UMI mounts, un-bolt them from the motor, bolt the pedestals up and try one side at a time. FWIW I did this by myself, it sucked ***, took 8 hours! If you have a buddy that can help, would recommend you call him over!

EDIT: You can probably leave the passenger side in place, but keep the bolts loose, just un-bolt the drivers side mount from the block, bolt up the pedestal and try to line up the motor.

Im going try one side but the thing is I have one side completely bolted up just fine then the other side just doesn't want to fit?? Ill try loosening the mount from the block next

You will also want to leave them loose for re-installing the transmission. You will not get the pilot bearing stabbed if they are tightened all the way...You can also loosen the k-member bolts to the body for re-installing the transmission.

Yes Your right on that I think what ill be doing is dropping the entire k member the fitting my engine & trans together & installing completely
& your right it does suck by yourself (: Ill bug one of my buddies to help me

I just put a tranny back in my fbody, ended up loosening the K-member bolts, not all the way, but very close. I did not have to disconnect brake lines either. If you don't have one, would recommend a low profile tranny jack from harbor freight, especially if you are lone wolfing this job.
