Well I was in the process of installing my LS into My camaro today but Notice the holes are not lining up? I also have a crack in my k member I think it may be bent.. Anyone???? I've been fighting but nada. There is a good gap on the driverside pedestal (pics) But passenger side is perfect??

I have the same UMI mounts, un-bolt them from the motor, bolt the pedestals up and try one side at a time. FWIW I did this by myself, it sucked ***, took 8 hours! If you have a buddy that can help, would recommend you call him over!
EDIT: You can probably leave the passenger side in place, but keep the bolts loose, just un-bolt the drivers side mount from the block, bolt up the pedestal and try to line up the motor.
