Default coil covers

How do the LS1 Corvette style coil covers install? I have seen plenty of them for sale but, I have not seen how they install or what is needed to install them.
Also will they work with aftermarket fuel rails?

They pop on the studs on the valve covers, and they also clip onto the stock rails, I have fast intake and rails, the clips do not fit on my fuel rails but you could trim them up a bit I suppose

Thanks for the information.

I have Holley 534-209 rails.
Are the studs anything special? I don't have them, and used bolts to attach the coil brackets.

There basically long bolts that bolt in the valve cover and each one has a little ball shape end, then the covers have spots where they pop over the ball end on th studs

Any motor that didn't come with the covers won't have the studs to mount them, idk how f body guys install the vette ones. I have a set of ls2 got covers I'll sell cheap, you would remove the part that says gto by sanding it down,, u can trim them up to fit just like you would have to do with the vette ones,

There's a place that sells vette ones already trimmed and painted but there like 300

Thanks for the offer, on the GTO covers, but I'll pass.
These would be for the 5.3 LS I swapped into my 93 Corvette. So I would prefer the Corvette covers.

Oh well that makes sence then, a lots guys put the corvette ones on a f body and leave them say corvette lol,

Well I'll move forward then,
you can weld the studs on your valve covers and they would pop right on, just mite have to trim the part that clips on the stock rail, because it won't clip over your rails, there bigger than stock,

I am ordering the holly coil covers, there made for after market rails,(well they don't cove the rails so it don't matter which rails you have... they come black plastic and will work for what your doing they just look different

My coil pack bracket is attached to the valve cover using the stud/bolts. I don't know why. The car never had covers. Post in your local forum someone like me will still have them and would probably be happy to trade for regular bolts.

True the stud does double as another fastener for coil, you should be ably to get the bolts from gm or junk yard

Has anyone seen the Taylor 555751 valve covers? I like the what they do and how they look, but I don't think they would work with the truck coils.
