Default Evap Canister

Hi.
I have a canister from F-body to go with my corvette LS1.
I see on pics that the F-body canister is layin on the tank.
Does it matter if the position of the canister is standing upright? Anr the vent soleoid is moved and re-positioned?

What year is the Corvette this is going into?

I would say the evap canister needs to be mounted as it was originally installed in the vehicle it belongs in.

We have a power/ weight ratio of 15kw/100kg (20hp/220 lb) here in sweden, and thats very hard to do with a -34 ford fiberglass and LS1 engine. Thats why I want all these things to go on the car, as the the people at the inspection gets happier and they maybe let the power off the hook. I even have stock cats on it.
The engine is a -99 and I think the canister is a -01. Its even a good thing that the car dont smell gasoline when ambient temperature gets high.
