My feeble memory kicked in an I recalled this thread below with measurements.
If that doesn't save enough room for you, the LS2 corvette pump is really flat faced, less of the shaft protruding. You could use one with 1 1/2" spacers (available on ebay). That combo might buy you and additional 1/2 - 1"

before you leave the parts store, check that the TS fits all the way into the WP, and that the WP pulley is elongated bell shaped (not flat shaped).
