If they have 100k+ miles on them, I would. Once you have the LT's on, you won't be able to tell anything if they throw codes, because they do that even if they're good with LT's. The only way to know for sure with LT's is by datalogging and checking the switching pattern.
That old there's a good chance they're slowing down, and LT's will only magnify the problem. I'd start with new ones myself.
