What starters will work on '02 LM7?

Hey all. The engine in question is sitting out in the shop, I still have to verify flywheel/flexplate tooth count. But other than that, I'm kinda new to playing with LSx's and unsure what starters will work and what won't. Are sbc/bbc/90*V6/LT/LS/etc all interchangeable?

Ideally I'd like to find a vehicle in the boneyard with a mini starter that I could use on this for the meantime but need to know what to look for

All LSx base starters interchange. Nothing from other motors fits that I know of.

Be careful with that. Sometimes different bellhousings dictate different nose cones on starters that may cause them not to fit all applications.

What vehicle is this going into and what transmission?

Don't use the original long bolt/short bolt starter.
