What is this module/sensor? 
It's on the passenger side of the radiator, toward the top side. 99 SS M6.
I was doing some surface rust abatement from a previously leaky battery and came across an unplugged and fuckered up pigtail, no doubt coming from that module.
Ah the joys of other people's former cars.....

Interesting to me that there is no lights or codes. You'd think without feedback, it would signal a fault. Maybe it needs the module for that and ripping it up was someone's white trash fix to a $50 module replacement. Tune was stock when I got it so no tune outs of a fault.

That's what I mean. Since its unplugged the ECM should throw a light on the dashboard. How are you supposed to know when the module is bad if the light doesn't warn you of it.
Most every other sensor on modern cars trips a light when the sensor fails. The second the wire was cut, the dash should have signaled low coolant.
Maybe a bulb is out back there....
