Balancer question

Looking to put a 98 Camaro water pump on my 5.3 can I use a 5,7 balancer on the 5.3 or will the pump work with the truck balancer. Thanks.

Here are my thoughts but dont quote me on this. The balancer is ribbed so it needs to match the spacing of the rest of the system. The wp is smooth and the back of the belt runs on it so Id say as long as the belt isnt trying to walk off the front side of the pulley then it should work. Id try the camaro wp on the truck serp system and see how it lines up. The spacing cant be much different and shouldnt matter if it isnt. LMK what you find out if you try it.
