vaccum pump hi guys im building a 416-418 ls3 11.5-11.7 cr and tea 243 heads supervic accufab tb.i want to no what determines if i need a vaccum pump.i read alot of strokers get crankcase pressure and blow oil everywhere until vaccum pump,and on a street car what is the life of a vaccum pump
vaccum pump Tim can explain this A LOT better than I, but it's my understanding it helps alleviate crank case pressure, gets the rings a better seal, thus increasing power. Folks have been known to pick up upwards of 20+ HP with them.
GZ makes a good one for LS cars. I'm pretty sure they have a "life expectancy" listed on the website. They are rebuildable too, which is good.
