Intake manifold options
Intake manifold options Can someone help clarify what options I have as far as intake manifolds? It's a 06 Silverado 6.0L, and am looking for a cheap upgrade to the stock truck intake. I believe it has cathedral port heads? Getting confused reading posts here on what actually will work.

the stock truck intake is actually pretty good. you could try getting a tbss intake which is a little better but i'm not sure by exactly how much. A car intake wont work with your accessories. The fast lsrt is expensive but by far the best option. if youre just starting to mod id go with exhaust first
How is the trailblazer ss intake different and what other mods would be required to mount it? What year range tbss are we talking?
I have cat-back exhaust and cai already. Just looking to take it to the next step.

Then get a cam. Best bang for the buck is going to be a fairly mild cam. A swap to a TBSS intake might get you 8-10 HP more on a stock cam, but the price is going to be about the same as a cam swap and you'd have to research to see whats needed for the swap.

Honestly just a better intake and runner design but it's worth power. I don't see headers on there. Those would for sure make a difference long tubes not shortys as well as an under drive pulley. After that consider a cam
