True Duals under the axle, need some help
here is my dilemma...i with the help of a friend who runs a shop, installed true duals on my z28 last week, and i decided to go under the axle. I was having issues with the cheap hangers he had at the shop on hand, the pipes kept coming off which made the mufflers sag (bullets) and sometimes scrape. So i finally got my new hangers in so i could hook them up to the seat belt bolts under the car, and it worked great, but now the drivers side tail pipe that goes under the axle is pushed up against the rear sway bar along the rear axle. the passenger side has enough space to slip a peice of folded construction paper, and it doesn't bag under load or when i go over bumps, however the driver side is giving me ****. im not sure what i need to do cause this is my first real experience doing this kind of **** myself. and my buddy at the shop is gone for the next day or two.
any suggestions to move this pipe just slightly enough to gain some clearance off the rear sway bar? should i just pull the pipe off and try to rebend it? or put another hanger somewhere? I dont have a camera right now to snap pics but it seems the more i try to fix it, the worse it gets.
thanks fellas.
