ARP LS Header Stud torque spec
ARP LS Header Stud torque spec Does anyone know the true torqe spec for the ARP header studs? I have found the bolts are 18ftlbs and other sites say 26ftlbs and ARP generic spec is 24ftlbs. I think I read studs do require more torque.
I'm afraid of under torque and stripped holes. Anyone know the true spec?

I don't know the true torque. I've NEVER used a torque wrench for them. You should just be able to "feel" it when it's good. Kinda like spark plugs.

In all seriousness, I had a hard time finding sources that gave the same answer also so I went with an average of all those I found. Then heat cycled it, and gave them all one good smack on the handle of the wrench. They've not come loose at all and it's been a few months.
