Coils and plugs?
These motors are setup with 8 coils and intended stock to have a 100k tuneup interval.
The very thought that you need look at ignition "upgrades" is rooted in 80s thinking, forget it.

Aftermarket coils seem to fail often. Plugs? Everybody seems to use NGK but I've had better luck with ACDelco plugs.
