What is this part? and oil leak help! I removed my intake 2 weeks back to fix an oil leak coming from the oil pressure sensor/ cam sensor area. It is now time to put it back and I am not sure how this part goes back in or even if it goes back in. I have a cammed/heads/headers 02 ws6 and I remember one part was somewhat hanging flimsily as I removed the intake. I do know that the air has been removed from this car by the previous owner. And am confused where this part goes exactly. Also as I removed the intake a good amount of oil started leaking from the same area but this time it dripped down the passenger side of the transmission not the drivers, could it be that something else other than my oil pressure sensor is leaking? Thanks!!
Its for the AIR system. It attaches behind the intake where the brake booster and HVAC vacuum port is located. There should be a "T" fitting that connects the AIR and the HVAC together. You can leave that out of the car and just hook up the vacuum line coming from the pass side to the back of the intake.
For the oil leak check the cam sensor O ring, and the PCV system. You might have a hole in a PCV hose or it could be the grommet in the rear of the driver side rocker cover where the PCV hose attaches.
