Default Engine swap

So I bought a low mileage 99 z28 and wrecked it pretty good. Motor in it is less than 100k miles and I have a buddy with a 2000 ss that all he wants out of it is the motor. So im gonna pull my motor out and put it in his after i pull his motor for him. Wondering if there's anything I need to know as far as mating the different year models.

Should be pretty simple, nothing really significant enough to matter I don't think. There may be some minor differences with the external components, like the valve covers or intake manifold.

We are gonna lift the car off the motor which is supposed to make things way easier. Just didn't want to go to drop the new car on and the motor mounts be different or have to space the tranny tunnel.
