Fuel Line Heat Issues with TD
You have fuel and brake lines there, both are a safety concern when heated. Seems to me you could also run into some form of vapor-lock or you could send overly hot fuel back into your fuel pump through the return line. The fuel pumps on our cars are fragile to begin with.
If I was to put exhaust on that side of the car, I would wrap either the exhaust or the lines (in that area) with header wrap. Tape or starter foil seems a little too wimpy.
Wait till someone's brakes fail due to a mail order dual set-up...

That's what Lane recommended to me when I installed my duals ... so that's what I did. I haven't had any problems and it has been close to a year since I installed the duals.
