Electrical problem, please HELP!

Electrical problem, please HELP! I have some kind of electrical problem that has me and my friends stumped. When I turn the key to the on position, the accesories all turn on and everything is ok seems like. But when I turn on the parking lights or headlights everything goes haywire and the guages max out, all interior lights dim. If I turn the key to start the car, nothing at all happens. It all started with my battery going out and wouldn't hold a charge. I changed that and no problems for a while. Then the car started doing this one day, just randomly. I have checked every fuse in the car, I have checked all the wiring I can think of in the dash and engine bay. I checked the ignition switch. I am out of ideas. Anyone ever had a similar problem.
