Alternator issues?

The other day I was cruising got on the gas for a bit and noticed when I let off my volt guage dropped pretty low probably at about 10 couple days later drove the car battery died so I got it charged did a small drive again and battery almost died once again. So I plan on taking out the alternator and getting it tested. Mainly wanted to see if anyone had similar issues and if there's anything I should check out or what else I should do.

sounds like a shitty alternator to me.. get yourself a 145A or 160A from a Silverado and call it a day

I had a similar problem ended up being the wire and the plug that plugs into the alt
I replaced the alt still had same problem replaced the plug went back to original alt everything worked fine after that
