coolant surge tank question

coolant surge tank question Any one ran a coolant surge tank off the heater core lines? I dont have a heater core just have my lines going in and out of a tank with a radiator cap on it but once the car is running and gets up to temp it starts pushing water out of I have the cap off and it is the highest point in my system -6an feed and return front port on the water pump I have as the feed and the back one as the return
was thinking maybe i need to restrict the feed more? so the return can keep up maybe or even caping the feed off on the water port and run the feed as my vapor port?

for any one searching i plugged the inlet coming from the water pump and ran my steam line to the surge tank and helped allot system self bleeds now and even when i hit 230F it doesnt push water out

sorry i forgot to reply but no i ran the steam line into my surge tank blocked off the out on my water pump and have my surge tank running into the inlet on my water pump so it sucks water from the surge tank instead of pushing into it cant really get pics of stuff in the car cant really see any of it lol
