exhaust manifold torquing

I'm about to install my exhaust manifolds and not sure if I need to dress the
bolts before installation. Never-seize or some thing like that. Aluminum
heads and steels bolts on a LM7.

I personally would. I have the ARP studs installed and used their lube for the studs and nuts. Never have gotten loose and spin right out if I need to remove them.

The key thing is to spin them in with your fingers before using a wrench. A lot of guys have cross threaded the exhaust bolts.

I always use anti-seize and never had any problems.
