Air pump removal & emissions

I posted this in the Northwest members forum, but I think I might see more traffic here.

Anyway, I just bought a set of TSP headers and a y. However I didn't realize that the TSP headers didn't come with a bung for the air system. Which is fine, I kind of wanted to remove the AIR system anyway.

I was wondering though, if I have a shop tune the Air system out so it doesn't illuminate the SES light, will it still show up in an emissions test?

I'm in WA, btw

No you wont have any SES light. The tuner will shut off all the DTC's for the air system. Are you keeping the EGR ? Or do you have a 01-02 model ?

It's an 02, so I don't have to worry about the EGR.
