Cam swap recommendation I bought a 2002 LS1 pull-out from a Camaro to put in my 1958 Chevy Apache truck. All we knew about it was that previous owner did a cam swap, possibly some head work and the 4l60e transmission had been gone through. Fast forward a bit and we're at the dyno tuner and my suspicion that the cam is fairly large is confirmed. Can barely pull 8in of vacuum, the converter stalls around 4k and it was tough to get it to idle. But the tuner did a good job and I have a drivable ride now. Sounds bad-*** but isn't quite the street machine I was after. Tuner is guessing it either has one of those big Trex bump sticks or something fairly close to it. My power brakes barely work and I don't think its going to be very enjoyable driving around town. I'm going to install a vacuum reservoir to try and help the brakes and get me through to winter when I'll do a cam/converter swap. Anyone have any recommendations on a tough sounding street cam? I don't mind something that needs about a 3000 stall and I have 3.90 gears with 26 inch tall tires. Probably be good if it were more of a torque monster with better low rpm response.
Heads are the stock 241 factory heads but not sure at this point what, if anything has been done to them. 1 3/4 shorty f-body swap headers into dual 2.5 inch exhaust with super 44 mufflers.

I am very happy with my cam. It sounds great, very streetable and the tuner had no issues/trouble tuning. They do recommend a 3600 stall with it.
