Kooks Setup Question

Kooks Setup Question First time ordering headers. I was looking at getting some stainless 1 3/4 kooks with a catted y pipe to go along with my gmmg exhaust that I already have. I heard the non catted y is to raspy and to loud. Next month I will be installing new heads,cam,torque converter and gears and tuned. My question is is this the best setup (kooks 1 3/4 and catted y) to get for my 2001 SS?

I did the 1 3/4 Kooks stainless steel w/ Cats & Y-pipe, going to a magnaflow cat-back. I love the sound and gained 24 rwhp & 15 rwtq from just the Headers. Sound is mean as all hell @ WOT, Quiet at idel and low rpm.
1 3/4 would work ok, but I would also look at 1 7/8. With all the mods it sounds like you plan to do Kooks 1 7/8 would be a good header to grow into. Let me know if you are looking for a set. I have a sale going on for all LS1 tech members that includes free freight.
